Auto Mechanic Career
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of automotive technicians is expected to grow by 17 percent from 2010 to 2020, and automotive mechanic job opportunities for qualified jobseekers should be very good. However, employers generally prefer automotive service technicians who have completed a formal training program in a postsecondary institution such as New York ADI. In as little as 30 weeks (full time) a student at NYADI can have an entry-level auto mechanic career as a Certified Automotive Technician. That is just one of many programs NYADI offers prospective students looking for an auto tech career.
The NYADI Student Services Department is dedicating to assisting all students and graduates with their job search and pursuing their auto mechanic career. In the students’ last course in school, the Placement Department will begin assisting students in their search for an auto technician career, providing an automotive technician career development seminar, letters of recommendation, assistance in resume writing and job interview techniques. We will assist you every step of the way – from writing a resume to arranging a job interview with a top company. Although NYADI provides placement assistance, the school cannot guarantee employment after graduation.
Contacts are maintained with local and national companies and interviews will be coordinated for students and graduates. Some of the area’s leading employers, such as Mercedes-Benz, Infiniti, H.O. Penn, U-Haul, New York Bus Service, and others, have actively recruited our students.
