Grants are financial aid that does not have to be repaid. Students may be eligible for Title IV Pell Grants. The amount will be based on the student’s financial need, cost of tuition and fees. Students may also be eligible for Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants.
Loans must be repaid with interest. NYADI participates in the Direct Loan Program. Students may be eligible for a subsidized loan (interest on the loan is paid by the Department of Education while the student is enrolled in school) and an unsubsidized loan (interest is accrued on the loan from disbursement and will be capitalized into the principal). Parents of dependent students may be eligible for a PLUS Loan. Repayment of subsidized and unsubsidized loans begins six months after a student graduates from the program, drops below half time attendance, or withdraws. Repayment of PLUS loans begins sixty days after disbursement. Call 718-658-0006 and ask to speak to a financial aid professional regarding your student financial aid eligibility.
